There Is A Solution

Alcoholics Anonymous offers a message of hope, offers a solution to alcoholism. AA's mission is to help alcoholics and their families find recovery and help in confronting the effects of alcoholism and related addictions.

The York Street Club exists to support Alcoholics Anonymous by providing a place for AA, Al-Anon, and Alateen meetings. York Street is a private organization, completely unaffiliated with AA.

Some people who attend AA meetings at York Street also join York Street Club to support our mission of hosting these important meetings. There are a few additional benefits, but most members join because that helps the club in its mission.

Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings

The only requirement for membership in Alcoholics Anonymous is a desire to stop drinking. York Street Club's AA meetings are for anyone who wants to stop drinking. Some meetings are also open to guests, and anyone who wants to learn more about AA.

Please see our schedule of AA meetings to find an AA or Al-Anon meeting today. This map will help you find us.

Also at York Street Club

We host over 65 Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon meetings each week, we have regular Speakers Meetings, periodic Socials and Dances, and participate in the Denver Recovery community. Many recovering alcoholics also find opportunities for Service Work at the York Street Club.

We have a small Cafe that offers a pleasant place to sit down for a cup of coffee or a meal at a modest price, we have a shady wide porch under the trees, and members & their guests can enjoy a meeting & game room.

Other Related Addictions

Not everyone with a substance addiction finds a permanent solution in Alcoholics Anonymous, and York Street meetings are designed for dealing with the problems of alcoholism. AA meetings can offer help and support to people with other drug addictions and with cross-addiction issues, but our focus is alcohol.

For some, Narcotics Anonymous and Cocaine Anonymous offer a better answer to the problems specific to those other drug addictions and to cross-addictions. We gladly recommend these 12-step programs as our partners in solving the problems of addiction.

Many find that NA and CA offer useful solutions specific to these other drug addictions, and to cross-addictions.

More Resources for Alcoholics and Families

Some alcoholics find involvement in long-term and/or resident treatment programs necessary to begin their recovery, and Denver has many other programs to help people and families dealing with the many issues that all too often come with alcoholism and addiction.
